Lo-Fi builds on a current Erasmus+ project “SUSTAIN” (2017-2020) with 9 other international partners. It aimed to raise awareness on the urgent need for sustainable landscapes by engaging secondary school pupils in research projects. The consortium developed 3 learning modules on biodiversity, bird migration and water management to increase the student’s awareness of the urgency to contribute to the local environment.

Projects carried out on the field of Lo-Fi include ‘CERCA’ program dedicated to environmental education to schools since 2015. Also through ‘Artxiviu de l´Horta’ collaborative program, social experiences and traditional knowledge in València area have been recorded in documentary films since 2010. Fundació Assut coordinates a digital and open-access program, whose goals pursue both democratizing intangible heritage while serving as a social toolbox for restoration and conservancy projects, too.

IES Campanar

The History and Geography and Valencian departments are  involved in the oral history study of the neighborhood. Memory recovery projects have been carried out, such as Our Grandparents’ Story, in which students filmed and interviewed their grandparents. IES CAMPANAR has also an ecological orchard worked by students themselves. In 2019-20, students also worked the orchard relating it to the typical work of the Campanar patch, as well as healthy lifestyle habits.

DENSA cooperates with Third Sector entities, Foundations and Administrations in the development of projects with the ambition to change the lives of children in educational poverty, promoting access to fair, fun, stimulating and quality training. It is one of the creators and promoters of the KIDSBIT Festival, for families of the 21st century where artists and trainers from Italy and Europe create multimedia works and workshops for children and families, too.

TAMAT

In the last 5 years Tamat has worked in Italy and in Europe on projects aimed at developing sustainable models of social agriculture. An experimental model has been launched which involves migrant people in the creation of a multicultural garden oriented to the production of typical vegetables of the recipient countries of origin. Tamat carries out production activities aimed at starting income-generating activities aimed at improving the economic conditions of the weakest sections of the population.

Stitching House of Design

In the Interreg IVC project Regio Crafts HoD developed workshops on how to preserve crafts in Europe by adding 21st century skills and functionality. In the area HoD initiated and produced many projects in the field of circular economy, bio economy, cradle to cradle, local value chains with entrepreneurs, government, creative industries, knowledge institutes and the community. They are totally in line with Lo-Fi and can give mutual feedback. House of Design is an experienced communication professional with a large (education / school) network and will support the project in internal and external communication and dissemination of the project results (Toolkits).

Piter Jelles  Leeuwarder Lyceum

(Leeuwarden, Netherlands)

Piter Jelles mission is to provide challenging education that stimulates pupils to discover and use their talents, giving them the opportunity to develop themselves into independent and socially engaged citizens. It is part of «Netwerk Noord», a regional cooperation between secondary schools and universities. Besides that, it has developed The Leeuwarder Lyceum, which is a Technasium with a lot of attention to beta technology and digital education. Pupils are challenged to address societal problems by means of doing research and designing products.
